One Clear Vision
registered charity no:na

One Clear Vision is a collaborative effort by a group of volunteers from around the world aiming to re-educate the public and professional community, and promote better understanding of severe vitreous floaters (or Degenerative Vitreous Syndrome).  We are the leading charity working in this area.

It does take some effort of empathy and imagination to appreciate this as a 'non-trivial' disorder – the descriptive term 'floaters' is perhaps itself not helpful in this respect. There is no physical pain, threat to life or loss of vision as such. However, patient reports clearly aim to communicate a quality-of-life issue that is better understood as a virtual 'life sentence': professionally & personally debilitating and a major impediment to psychological well-being.

The scope of our activities and goals cover improved patient support, more accurate and up-to-date information regarding causes, and eventually research into new treatment options in conjunction with a secure fundraising channel backed up by official charity status.

The One Clear Vision website is a central point of reference for the group’s activities, and aims to provide a trusted resource for patients and medical professionals alike.   To find out more visit:  http://www.oneclearvision.org
